What a steal by Carlos!

These have been going for $400+. I saw the BIN and started drooling, then I thought eh, must by qualified or something. Nope, a straight 9, if not a strong one, for about one third of market value image WTG Carlos image

Great pickup Carlos. I have been looking for that card for some time now, and am willing to pay a lot more than that BIN. I'm sure the seller would have gotten much more without the BIN. image

    Alan,

I thought the same thing about the qualifier. I was nervous when I saw that it was a straight PSA 9. I missed clicking the BIN button about three times. I thought for sure someone would buy it just seconds before I could finally click that button.

It was nice to finally win a 1972 Topps Football high grade at a reasonable price. I have been paying top dollar lately.

    Bob,

I had emailed you once about some '72 football but didn't hear back from you. Please LMK if you have some for sale.

IMO, this is a case where SMR worked to the buyer's advantage.

I narrowly missed another BIN yesterday. A guy is selling 53 different 1957 Topps PSA 8's with an opening bid of $1 and a BIN of $950. They are mostly commons but there are some high numbers and minor stars. I saw it 13 minutes after it listed and someone had already killed the BIN with a $1 bid. I bet the seller ends up happy that happened.

I missed the BIN on the 57's by about 2 min. I was licking my chops.

You could still bid on lafayette43's auction of 186 8s. Actually, everyone could. Apparently he didn't realize "Quantity" is not the number of items in the lot, but the number of lots you want to sell, so he started a dutch auction for 186 partial sets. Bet he'll be confused when he gets his ebay statement, but it probably won't matter to him, especially if he sells even one.

Rare Grady Sizemore parallels, printing plates, autographs

Another lucky troller. Billzkarz@aol.com picked up a 1971 Topps Yaz PSA 9 for a BIN of $375.00. The only thing that puzzles me is the auction started at 16:06 and he bought it at 16:18. I never see auctions that quickly when they are loaded up. Usually its about 4 hours after the start time....or more.

He could have seen it with the feature that let's you see a seller's other auctions.

Is there a way to search only 'BIN' auctions?
  • To find the latest BIN, just type in your category to search, select Newly Listed, select the BIN tab and in front of your eyes will be some serious temptations. Good luck and let us know how you do.

    Thanks!
  • If you thought that was fast----how did this guy BIN the item 19 seconds after it was listed?

    Link to 19 second BIN

I'll take a guess. You knew the auction was starting promptly at 7:00 p.m. image

And the '57 Topps PSA 8 lot sold for $2137image. I don't know what the seller was thinking putting a $950 BIN on that lot.

And not just football either, this guy is buying anything and everything! The good news is he seems to be knowledgeable unlike rockets_lover. The really good news is that he's spent $78,992.11 in the past 30 days! The really really good news is that, judging by his feedback, he's paying up.

MGALT was the buyer of my 1964 Topps Giants Set at $2695. It was the 5th Finest overall at the time. He paid immediately via Paypal, and left positive feedback about a month later (I left mine after I knew he received the package via return receipt). Very business like, no extra emails or other contact. Did the Paypal thing and that was it.
  • Check it out......That guy above spent $824 dollars on a "Room 222" card? One card?
