How did aconte do on those Red Man auctions?

I was surprised the '52 Reese brought over $800. Seems that it barely broke $600 in past auctions. That was a great '54 Matthews as well.

    He was happy...

I knew the Dressen would cost money. Believe it or not the SMR is way off on that
card. image With the prices of some of the 71 Topps and some other cards lately I thought
I was really going to have to step up. Looks like the wife and I still get to celebrate my
    anniversary this weekend. LOL!

I actually felt the Mathews nine and a lot of the eights looked awesome. I would of bid on
the Reese but not that high. My eight is nice but not as nice. At least from looking at the scans.
Of course I got mine for half of the price of the one that sold last night.

Rgold got a sweet Mathews card. A definite highlight to a nice red man collection for him.

    Thanks for asking!

  • Still looking for those few elusive Red Man cards. The four sets 1952-1955 are made up of 208 different cards including the variations. I currently have:

    13 PSA 9
    157 PSA 8
    31 PSA 7
    3 PSA 6
    1 PSA 5
    3 DO NOT HAVE

Not bad for sets with a total of only 25 PSA 9's and 538 PSA 8's. But I am still hoping to upgrade. If anyone knows the whereabouts of any high grade Red Man cards, please let me know.

I have many duplicates to sell or trade too.
