If you check out the Joshua II collection, you will see there are 10 1939-D MS69FB coins certified by PCGS. I have no idea what one of those is worth. I suspect they do not trade all that often, but what do I know.

Bryan, The pops for a PCGS 39D MS69FB merc seem to keep slowly rising. It sits at 10 now. This is a coin that you really could not put a value on without seeing it. As always its only worth what someone is willing to pay at the time. Its probably more valuable to a serious type collector then a date collector at this time. I believe all the top Merc sets already have a 39D MS69FB in them. Bryan if you have one for sale it would probably be prudent to wholesale it out, at least thats what I would do.
Bryan, I have handled four 1939-D MS69FB in the past three years. The prices have gone from $8,800 to $15,000. The highest and lowest prices were both three years ago. The most recent ones were in the low teens. As stated before type collectors like this date as it is the highest graded mercury dime. Every one that I have seen is brilliantly toned.
what would a non 1939 D go for in ms69FB that is toned?? of course it would be the only other year that would be a 69FB. Considering it would HAVE to be in the finest set I would think for a bunch.

If I had it my way, stupidity would be painful!
