Indian Head Cent Collectors Help Needed

I have an 1863 IHC i just purchased. When these were minted, Have you ever seen one that had an adjustment mark on the field starting from the first "S" in states to the top of the Princess' nose? Or do you think it's been doctored to hide a ding?? I haven't scanned this coin yet. All answers appreciated!! Glenn

If it's shaped like the edge of the wreath it's a clash mark, otherwise a die crack (?).

I bought this 1863 with double clashmarks a couple days ago, looking forward to seeing it in person. Do the lines on your 1863 look anything like those?

Shylock, Those look great!! But no, This looks like someone made an adjustment to the die. Very possibly a try to eradicate a ding. I have contacted the seller.
