My NCS conserved DMPL Morgan + another great morgan

nwcsnwcs Posts: 13,386 ✭✭✭
Here is my 1884o DMPL morgan that NCS fixed up. It had black spots all over it and they did a fantastic job. The other coin, the 1880S, was one I got from mbbiker here on the board (and a great coin!).

Yes, it was in a NGC 62 DMPL slab before I sent it to NCS and is in the same grade slab after NCS. I love what they did. The coin had many distracting black dots all over the surface and a light haze. Both are gone. I'm very pleased.

The second coin hasn't been to NCS. Just another cool coin. image

Both very nice. I love the cameo on the first coin, and the color looks great on the second. Nice finds.

What I love about cameo DMPLs is that they are the poor man's morgan dollar proofs!

I hope my DMPL morgan also comes out nice from NCS. I sent in a 1881-S about three weeks ago. It didn't have any spots, just tan haze over about 1/3 of the obverse. I'll post some before and after pictures when I get it back.

Hopefully you'll have the same visceral reaction I did when I first looked at it again...

    WOW!
