A 5th MS69 1972-S Ike?????

What is going on with PCGS???

I now see a 5th 1972-S MS69 Ike. This along with two new 1974-S in MS69 makes 4 new MS69's in the last 60 dyas, with a 15 year haitus.

What is your best guess as to how many more will be made in the next 12 months???

I believe I graded the 5th coin about 3 weeks ago along with the 2nd MS69 1974(s) - that is not new. There were 7 coins at the beginning of the month (not sure when PCGS finally included them though).

NO SOUR GRAPES HERE, JUST FACTS THAT POINT TO MORE AND MORE LOW POP COINS BEING MADE BY PCGS IN THE LAST 60 DAYS.

READING THE BOARDS, ONE CAN EASILY SEE WHAT IS HAPPENING. CERTAINLY PCGS IS NOT GIVING GRADES AWAY, AS MS69 COINS ARE NICE COINS. 1/2 A GRADE POINT LOOSENING, COULD BRING MANY HIGH END COINS INTO THE NEXT GRADE LEVEL.

Seg: Here is my point though and I say this in a very friendly manner:

If your theory is correct, why aren't you rushing out to sell your Ike set? Come on - if you really believe MS69 Silver Ikes will be graded in larger numbers down the road, WHAT WILL STOP PCGS FROM ALSO GRADING MORE CLAD IKES IN THE "LOWLY" GRADE OF MS67 (COMPARED TO MS69)??? If you really believe your theory, IT IS A "NO BRAINER" THAT MS66 CLAD IKES WILL ALSO SOON START BEING UPGRADED TO MS67 AND THOSE POP 1 (YOU OWN ONE RIGHT?) AND POP 2 COINS WILL ALSO START SEEING POP 3,4,5 -RIGHT?

Now, if you see my point, you will also see my point that you are only "picking on" the Ike dates YOU DO NOT PERSONALLY OWN AT THIS TIME! Hey, I can respect your position that Ike pops throughout the series will soar - come out and say that and you have my total respect. BUT, TO COME ON THE BOARDS AND SUGGEST THAT ONLY THE IKE DATES YOU DO NOT PRESENTLY OWN ARE GOING TO CONTINUE TO RISE IN POP - THAT MY FRIEND IS PURE "SOUR GRAPES"

And, if anyone secretly fears ALL Ike dates will see rising pops, please offer me the coins right now. I am a very strong buyer of the entire series. "There is nothing to fear but fear itself".
