I had the financial means I would consider hoarding AU-55 three dollar 1854-D or maybe 1955-D gold dollars in AU-55.

If you have 2 that means there are 22 uncs out there. If you have 3 then there are 33 of them. Are there really that many unc bar cents out there?

I think the snake just aquired his first out of maybe 11 known, if my memory serves me right.

If the others are in strong hands, i suspect he may have bought a much higher percentage of the remaining uncs likely to EVER be made available! image
The Ex-"Crown Jewel" of my collection! 1915 PF68 (NGC) Barber Half "Eliasberg".

Once again resides with Legend, the original purchaser "raw" at live Eliasberg auction. Laura and i "love" the same lady!

A local dealer/collector in my area hoards 1895-o Barber Dimes. I had not asked him lately about how many he still has, but at one time he had upwards of 250+ of them in grades from g-vf. He said its his favorite coin. He doesnt need the money, so he just keeps um.

I think I posted a thread about this, several months ago?
