Got a question about sports betting

Here are a few examples of some bets. What do they mean?

Dodgers (L.A.) -145 -1.5(+120) o11.5(-110)
Rockies (Colorado) +115 1.5(-150) u11.5(-110)

Diamondbacks (Arizona) +170 1.5(-125) o7(+105)
Giants (San Francisco) -210 -1.5(-105) u7(-125)

Any help would be appreciated.

first number is a money line...the -145 and +115....second number is spread 1.5 runs...third is under over for total runs scored...the numbers like 120, 150, 110, 145, 115 are for every $100 bet...hoep you understand, and hope it helps..

  • No I don't. If Joe, or anyone else, would take the time to explain what spread, over/under, etc. are, I'd appreciate it. Thinking about online betting to make things interesting.

For example, by those #s, which teams are expected to win from those games?

  • Ok here is the best way to explain it: The dodgers are favored since they have the -145, that means you put up 14.5 dollars to win 10, or 145 to win 100, however you want to look at it. If you take the rockies you put up 10 dollars to win 11.5.

The next line is the run line @ 1.5, if you take the dodgers on that you put up 10 dollars to win 12 but the dodgers have to win by at least 2, if you take the rockies +1.5 runs @150 you put up 15 dollars to win 10 but they can only lose by 1 run.

The last line is the over under on total runs scored by both teams and it will usually be an even money line, meaning you put up 11 dollars to win 10 (the -110 is constant in almost all bets for bball and football and that is the 10 percent juice for the house).

If you have any other questions just PM me, I do a lot of online gambling so I can help you out if you need anything, best of luck.
