Home PCGS Set Registry Forum

Registry Coin, I'm heading your way, I have landed..

Just giving fair warning that I have installed rocket boosters on my Roosevelt registry set. Right now
I'm #25. Can't use the passing lane, To much traffic. I'm doing the finale tune up right now and will be
ready shortly to blast over about 24 sets. I expect to be neighbors with RC and see what its like to
mingle with the elite..... Drat, Just blew a power booster. I think I can get a spare from colorfulcoins.

I'll be back just as soon as this thing is fixed. RC get the wine and cheese ready, I should be there shortly.

A new Roosie leader will emerge soon, as the FBs are recognized, and you guys find more high-octane beauties. Just like the scramble at the top of the Roosie Registry a few years ago, I'm sure that the upcoming competition will be hearty and fun. Good luck to all those looking to take the helm of the Full Bandwagon. image

Colorfulcoins, Hey!! You in the tower. Booster rocket received. But Damn!! image This thing looks
like it will take a few hours to install image Any help would be appreciated. RC.. I'm not looking at the
current, should be no problem there. I want the all time before the FB bonus points kick in.
Back to work I go so I can get to current #1 first. I'll be back after this #@^#$@ thing is installed

    onlyroosies

This is going to take longer than I thought to fix. Maybe a couple days, all you Roosie set guys & gals get
your barricades up. RC It will have to be another time, Soon very soon. Back to work I go.

  • Fair warning... I'm currently # 48 but hope to be in the top five by the end of June. Get a wine that's ready to drink now.

Hmmmmm.......clash of the Rosy Titans coming........?????

Could the Rosy Series turn into yet another Registry battleground not unlike the contemporary silver Washington Quarter Series has/was over the last 5 years?

Its also interesting that the "door" appears to be open at PCGS as a remarkable number of new MS68's have popped up on the pop reports in the last 60 days. Someone is making dimes and they're not on the Registry set - anyone want to fess up? Mitch, I wonder if this a part of the wonder-set you're referencing in your post? Time will tell...........stay tuned - film at 11.

onlyroosies vs wondercoin vs ??????........the match of the year? <g>

Billy, I'll be waiting for you at the top. I would be very disappointed though if you were not in the top 3. I
expect you and I will be playing cat and mouse. image

Mitch, Where have you been?. I've been getting worried and was about ready to put out an APB on you. I better
jump to the #1 spot soon because if you come to play I don't know if I could hold it. I might need to team up
with Billy or Colorfulcoins at that time.

Its also interesting that the "door" appears to be open at PCGS as a remarkable number of new MS68's have popped up on the pop reports in the last 60 days.

Hmmmm. New 8's, Where could they be!!!! Hey Billy do you know anything about this?. How about you Mitch?.
Craig are you hiding any of those?.

OK, OK I admit I've made a couple and they'll be in my set as soon as I finish with this damn spare booster. Craig
are you sure this is the right booster. It doesn't seem to fit right. image Well I fessed up anybody else here want too.
Well bact to work I go, can't get to the top until this rocket's fixed. RC keep the wine and cheese on hold I'll be there.

I think its going to be more like "onlyroosies vs billywls vs colorfulcoins vs wondercoin vs ????? ( I don't think DB will be a player )

Craig: Thanks for worrying about me image

I've been travelling this week and now gearing up for Long Beach/auctions.

The Roosie competition will be exciting, no doubt. Passing Registrycoin's set on the Registry is certainly a major accomplishment. Registrycoin set the standard during the time he nurtured and cared for the beautiful Roosies in his (now retired) set. He was a "Hall of Famer" in every way, shape and form.

Later this year, a new leader will likely emerge with an even more spectacular set (as is often the case after sets are retired and super coins are sold off). The bar will be raised even higher and just a few people will likely be able to compete at the very top level. Yet, many will be able to build fantastic MS67FB sets, which should be highly sought after in the years ahead. If you guys are looking for a healthy competition for the top spot, get ready to rumble imageimage

    Mitch, I'm hurt!!!

OK, Booster rocket repaired and ready for launch.. 3, 2, 1, Blastoff...imageimage
Blast... There went the quad coupler. Well I poped over a couple sets, now at #22.

If I remember right I saw a quad coupler in MS68's case at the last long beach show.
Hold that thought, don't change that dial, I'll see if David still has it and see if I can
trade a monster toner for it.

RC better make it a jack & coke, I'll need it by the time this is over.

The tower has cleared me for take off… 5…4…3…2…1…Whoooo the G’s are incredible.
I’m off and,, wow what a view from up here. Passing over sets at the speed of light. My
Eyes are starting to focus again. Look at all those dimes down there. I‘m now passing over
Paul’s Dimes, Nice set Paul, I’m getting quite a few waves and thumbs up from other set
Holders. Starting to descend a little while passing Lance’s set. A big wave from Lance.
Really starting to loose altitude as I pass by White Fang’s set. I’m in a myriad of color
Right now, its like a giant kaleidoscope, don’t quite know where I’m at…..
Oh!!! Its Craig’s colorfulcoin set, I should have known. Theres Craig now and the colors
In his set are incredible, so close I could almost touch them. “Oh No” I’ve lost a lot of altitude.
Don’t know if I can make it. The last thing I want is to crash behind DB’s set. I have to
Lighten the load. But what!!! Ahhh I’ll dump some of these NGC Holders, yea that’s it.
Everyone knows NGC plastic weighs more then PC holders. There goes my 52S NGC 68.
    Bye bye 54S NGC 68. So long 50D & 47S NGC 68 stars… There I’m leveling off. Hey look
There’s Danny giving me a big thumbs up as I pass over the top of his set. Thanks Dannnn,,
Wait a minute. Danny that’s not your thumb!!!!! Hey be nice now…Bamm Boom Bing…..

    I'm down image

There's RC to greet me with a glass of wine, a slice of apple and piece of cheese. Thanks RC
but I could really use a beer right about now.

You know if it wasn't for Craig (colorfulcoins) I wouldn't be here. Sure wish you were standing
here with me Craig. You know I just might have a little juice left in those rockets. Why don't
you dig down real deep in that chest of silver wonders of yours and see if we can't pull you
    on over the hill...

    Here's what got me here
    Number 1 Roosevelt Set

    Nick,
I know my set will never compare to yours -- but that said, why are you still using MY coin as your logo?? .......I know, because it has "eye appeal!!" Only ONE roosie set has total "eye appeal" and we know where that resides, don't we?......enough busting your b****...Keep up the great work and raise the roosie numbers/banner ever higher!!!!!...Blast off to #1.

The rainbowroosie promise: I promise that if I slab a stupidly high graded roosie, it is yours --- of course, for a stupidly high PRICE!!!!imageimage

But But, Bill, Didn't you tell me you only graded my icon dime a 67. But NGC gave it a 68*. Doesn't that qualify as a "stupidly
high graded roosie". So how much "stupid" money do you want for it. I mean, that is the rainbowroosie promise.. Right image

Hmmmm, Stupid money for a stupidly graded coin. Well rainbowroosie,,, How about this. I'll give you $2400 for your
1954 NGC MS68* dime. Of course since I don't recall the reverse and since the advent of the FT designation that offer
will have to be sight seen with a return privilege. This offer is good only until the clock strikes midnight EST...May 27th, 2003.
