1968-S Lincoln Pennies...........

Ok serious question............ I have a roll of 1968-S Lincoln cents that I just opened.......I would be willing to bet $$ they are atleast MS68 These things are absolutely flawless.. The guide says they are at $400.00 a pop in MS66 Condition my question to anyone who might have an answer is could I get anywhere close to that if I have them graded and choose to sell them. I have more rolls that are unopened would it be worth the time and money to have them graded and slabbed....please any help is appreciated.

They are sometimes found almost mark free in rolls but this is most unusual. There
would have to be almost no visible marks to the naked eye as you tipped the coin in
the light. The coin would also have to be well struck. It probably wouldn't require a
perfect strike but it should be an early strike from a well aligned die. If you have an
entire roll of this quality (and they aren't proofs, as evidenced by square rims), then
you have something most unusual. If you're confident in your grading then you may
want to just send them in. You might get more money if you send them in a few at a
time so you don't upset the pops too much. I've seen many dozens of 68-S cent rolls
from many dozens of sources and have seen only a few which could go MS-65.

small picture the first one appears it might have a very mushy strike. If so
it would be far removed from MS-68. Can you provide better and larger scans?

most 1968 s cents that are flawless like yours will grade either ms 64 or ms 65.It is the occasionally an ms 66 if you get lucky.
