Lincoln Error Fans - here's what I got for that clipped Indian...

Arrived in the mail today:

191x Lincoln Cent (I'm 99% sure it's a 1919, it has the VDB on the shoulder), triple curved clips (there's a rim clip at 3:00 just above the big clip) PLUS a large straight clip. From the look of the reverse (lots of planchet porosity) and the odd-shaped straight clipped edge I think this one came off the end of the sheet.

BTW, this collector showed me this coin and dozens of other jaw-droppers at a show last year, it took me almost a full year to find something he liked enough to trade it for. This was just the kind of trade I like - both parties ended up exceedingly happy. image

Incomplete planchets wanted, especially Lincoln Cents & type coins.

Very cool! It's rare to find a coin where the Blaksedy (sp?) Effect is actually clipped away!

I'm not up to speed on old Lincolns but I know clad clipped Lincolns are tough-especially multiple clipped ones.
It has a lot of red left-really nice!
Change that we can believe in is that change which is 90% silver.
