Russ's Little Ebay Item Gave Me A Dumb Idea

I'm referring to Russ's E-bay sale : Russ's Ebay item.

What if say, PCGS sold encapsulated examples of AT coins. This could be for educational purposes. Each example would clearly state the type of AT (e.g., heated, mild heat and sulfur, etc.; could also include an example of what an "over dipped" coin looks like). To avoid destroying any real coins, PCGS could have some type of medals stuck in the various alloys used for US coins. The latter would also discourage people from cracking out the AT examples and selling them as NTs.

One of the difficult parts for people learning about AT and over dipped coins is that until they see examples of the different types of AT coins, naturally toned coins (perhaps could also sell pics of these), and true brilliant coins, they don't know what is real and what is not.

I may clean this idea up and submit it to DH for his weekly Q&A.
