Who owns the I.S. Memorial Lincoln Proof Registry?

We all know that Stewart Blay is the KING of Lincoln Cents, at least as far as the circulating coins go. But now, we see a new leader showing up for all the proofs from 1936 onward. Does anyone know who this is and whether that person will chose to display his/her great registry sets for all to see? Steveimage

I've been informed ny the owner that I was mistaken in my assumption that the set was made up of coins from the Honeycut set.

    Hey Guys,

I don't care too much about the I.S. Memorial set.I can surpass him at any time in the Proof Lincoln Cent Set.As a matter of point I challenge him to come out of the closet.I challenge this guy to a "Showdown" anywhere, anyplace.

    Stewart,

When are you going to break down and show all those Lincoln Memorial with Varieties setholders how Lincoln collecting is really done? No one is even 100% complete in that set yet; and with a few exceptions the non-DD coins in one grade below pop top can be had for no more than 3-4 times the cost of slabbing the coin.

Stewart, I think we all would be honored if you would enter all your best coins for each issue into the registries. Even if you choose to not display the individual coins at this time, letting us see that you have the #1 set in ALL 12 Lincoln cent categories says alot about you and your collection. Thanks, Steveimage

    Steve,

Why do I have to be #1 in all 12 categories? You just brought up Proof Lincoln cents.Cameron Stanley is an avid collector and I've met her and her dad at an auction at midnight buying proof Lincolns. She deserves to be #1.Until I meet or am introduced to The I.S. Memorial dude he will be #2.Watch Cameron Stanley pass I.S. Memorial either today or tomorrow.I am having FUN and that is what keeps me going.

rd5425 - Watch out ? Are you the brother of r2d2? I like the name badass Lincoln Proof dude better !!

I predict that come the end of June I will be #1 in this set [Lincoln Cents with Varieties Circulation Strikes (1959-Present)] unless of course Stewart or someone else with 69-S & 70-S DD's puts theirs up there.

    redcents,

I don't have a problem believing you will probably be #1 in the MS Variety set before long...but how long do you think you'll manage to stay #1? I think this set has lots of contenders in hiding right now...

Of that I have no doubt. I've just been offered over 30 upgrades to MY set from someone who doesn't even participate in the registry sets.

RELLA: You are right. I am working with someone who could also claim the #1 spot in fairly short order. As you say, the true test is maintaining the spot for a long period of time. And, I also believe there is an unregistered set out there that could easily enjoy the #1 spot for many moons if he decided to post the set.

If you look at the current scores for the top proof Lincolns 09-58 and the subsets, there is only one possible finer set that could be made that is not displayed. I think all of the top Proof Lincoln collectors already know who owns those coins.

I don't have a dog in the hunt for the 50-present or 58 through present sets, so I'm not going to comment on those.
