Another question for the Modern Gold Eagle experts...

Does anyone know the mintages of the 1999 1/10oz ($5) and 1/4oz ($10) Gold Eagle coins struck by the U.S. Mint in error with the "W" mint unfinished proof dies? I can't seem to get a consistant number. I read around 10,000; and I've read under 2,000. An extremely large gap!

As far as I am aware, since these were errors and not formal issues, the precise number is unknown. People are left to guestimate, based on the numbers that have actually come to light.
