Crossing over NGC MS68 Washington 50c - Poll

I had 3 free submissions for a 90% complete set and 3 1982-D Washington 50c in NGC MS68.

So I write the submission # and put the sticker over the grade and write on the form cross at a minimum MS68.

Then I realized I used permanent labels. Now permanent labels on holders (that dealers love to use) is a pet peeve of mine. (I once bought 20 coins from DHRC that had permanent labels and sent them back to be reholdered, which they did for free).

So I think I ruined the NGC holders because no matter how much goo-gone and scraping you do trying to get the residue off, the slab takes a beating.

I paid an average of $18 each. A PCGS MS68 is worth about $75 (you gotta love the Registry) and an MS67 about $15

Should I have them cross at any grade, or try and salvage the NGC holders?

Edit - They arrived at PCGS today.

I would have sent them to NGC to be reholdered. I think it's four bucks for reholdering.

We are finite beings, limited in all our powers, and, hence, our conclusions are not only relative, but they should ever be held subject to correction. Positive assurance is unattainable. The dogmatist is the only one who claims to possess absolute certainty.
