Responders and voters should be aware this thread and poll are likely to be edited again in the future.

The poll was really just a tantrum caused by the numerous modern bashing posts
since last night. If it had a point it was to point out that those who believe old coins
are unasailable have very little imagination. It could have been much longer and more
specific.

It was deleted because it's only possible effect would be to fracture collectors and put
them in different groups. This would be a bad thing for ALL collectors and would be
particularly harmful to coin collectors. Also many who once bashed moderns have stopped
and it is partially out of respect to them that the poll was deleted.
