Home U.S. Coin Forum

What other boards do you read or post to?

I only read and post here in the PCGS system and basically, in the US coin forum. (That costs me quite a bit of money because it's basically
non-productive, although, i do think relaxation is a worthy objective.)

What about you? Rec.collecting.coins? Advanced.micro.reconstruction.body.parts? Tell us. Enquiring minds want to know.

And by the way, this post is directed specifically to people who read or post in this forum. If you never come to this forum to read or post,
please do not respond. Thank you in advance for your cooperation. (iwh)

I check out the metal detecting forum on these boards. Otherwise, I go to numisaddict and NGCs board. I used to go to the ford-diesel.com boards, but cannot find them anymore (name change?)

"What about you? Where do you play, other than here?"

I wouldn't feel right about going outside of my relationship with this board. It's just me. I know a lot of other people do it, regardless of
whether they admit it or not.

I think i could probably post somewhere else and get away with it, but what kind of irreparable damage would occur if i started posting, say,
    across the street?

Tell me you wouldn't be crushed.

My family, my law practice, dealing coins on eBay, riding my Vespa around the lake and cleaning my room are pretty much it. Oh, and
feeding State Farm and cleaning the pool.

I'm having a hard time handling just those things, let alone, trying to sneak around behind ya'lls back.

I moderate a technical support forum for the ISP that I work for. It has become one of the key areas on the company Intranet.
It is a very handy resource for us since we support multiple O/S platforms and Internet technologies.

I also go to Authenitic Campaigner, which is a Civil War reenacting site. Those guys are both cool and crazy.

PCGS forums, specifically u.s. coins, B/S/T, and occasionally registry forums. That's about it for me.

I read the board on my other addiction, Golden Tee Golf!!!
It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

Only two coin forums, this one and NGC's. You can pick up some real nuggets of information on the NGC forum without panning through a lot of sludge. I don't mean to imply that you can't learn a lot of good information here, its just there is so many more posters here, that just by sheer numbers many of the posts are uninteresting to me.

Very seldom do you see the personal attacks on the coin forum there that you do here, that is reserved for the comic guys, strange bunch. Also there is more more of a distinction of what is proper vis a vie the coin, bst, and registry forums there. Ego doesn't tend to get in the way as much there, so that might be a good place for you to post Adrian.image

The only message boards to which I post are here and Numisaddict. Occasionally, I wander over to NGC to read, but I've never posted there.

National DeSoto Club message board, DeSotoland, oh yeah the NGC board. I look at the Bust Coin Forum occasionally, but it is not very active.

The only other board of any kind that I post to is the NGC board when I have an NGC issue and an error coin board when i have a Mint Error issue Error World
Change that we can believe in is that change which is 90% silver.
  • I go to numisaddict and NGCs board to read only. This is the only board that I post or reply
