Okay Trade nuts tell me

what's a fair price for a nice XF-AU trade dollar? I'm not talking slabbed, raw. Provided I have a chance to look at the item firsthand and determine that there aren't any or not very noticable hairlines. From my books I can understand the high points to look for wear. Also are chopmarks unwanted? I wouldn't mind one or two personally, as long as the design is left alone. Any help is welcome. I figure this is the place to ask. image

    I'll try to help.

    1) Chop marks are generally not wanted (unless you are putting together a chopmark set). For the grade of XF-AU, they are reduced value in market.
    2) A fair price is tough to guess, but for a common date (75-S, 76-S, 77-S, 78-S), the price would be $100 to $200 for a nice original example in raw.
    3) Miss Liberty's breast, and the eagles feathers on the reverse are the areas to look at for wear.

If you have a specific question, PM me, I'll try to help.

How much does a slab affect the price?
