coin hyjacking might be a good way to make some $$$

You see the registry pops and watch a few series in the registry, you than see a coin come up for sale thats needed in many registry sets amd buy it if no registry person has seen it first, then knowing several people need this coin for there registry sets, put it up for sale either on ebay or put it up for auction even though you didn't want the coin yourself but thought registry crazed plastic chasers would get in a bidding war over it, i don' think this is hypothetical, i think it's happening, question is, is that a dirty wrotton thing to do, or smart buisness??? The President claims he didn't lie about taxes for those earning less then $250,000 a year with public mandated health insurance yet his own justice department has said they will use the right of the government to tax when the states appeals go to court.

    Les,

    Sounds like fun to me...

Just let me know where to get all these coins for BARGAIN PRICES

    AND

before they are offered to the top setholders. image

In other words...I think it is more hypothetical than you realize. Most of these crazy money auction coins did originally sell for bargain prices...usually back when the PCGS set registry was a thin book that came out once a year or maybe even earlier than that. I probably spend about 20 hours a week seeking undervalued PCGS Lincolns and have done so for over a year now...in that time I have found no more than a handful of coins that were undervalued according to THAT DAY"S MARKET and the PCGS GRADE. On the other hand buying the right Lincoln at market value and holding it for as little as a couple months can give you great returns.

That's not unethical - that savvy and good business. Buy low sell high - after all, in a "collector's" market, the end buyer determines the value of the item to him!
