Bravo (and thanks) ... there are too few Registry sets with photos! image
  • I just spent more time looking at your coins than PCGS did image

I want a Shield nickel with Rays. I didn't realize they came like your did. Very nice. That is a lot of neat coins!

Gee whiz Mr. Tom. You did a fantastic job imaging the early copper. Great photos, and lovely coins. Thanks for sharing and good luck with the rest of your set. It's a beauty. mdwoodsimage

  • I have a dial up modem. It took me a while to get through them all, but it was worth it! You have some really nice coins in your type set.
  • Tom, The Killian Family must be proud with what you've done. I just took a walk thru the history of U. S. coins. Thanks for sharing!! imageimage

    Tom:

Those were some very nifty pictures. I was "flipping" through them when I hit your 1853 quarter. I just stopped and stared at it a long time. I don't think I had ever before seen this type of quarter with the rays (the glory?) behind the eagle. What a nice coin!

I also liked your 1837 half. What a very pretty coin that is.

I echo many of the previous posters that I hope your family realizes what a truly nice collection you have!

Thanks for all the kind words. I think that if you have a registry set, you mean to show it off. Pictures are one way of doing it. My wife has been EXTREMELY supportive as she has purchased most of the expensive ones for me for Christmas or my birthday.

Next, I shall work on my indian cent collecton.

Beautiful crisp photos Tom. I can't get over how nice some of your lower MS coins are, the 1858 FE & 59 IH in MS63 for example. How long did it take you to find those? They look nicer than many MS65s.

    Tom,

Those are some great pictures, and some very nice coins for their grades. Most of us can appreciate the time that it must have taken to find such eye-appealing examples.

What kind of camera do you use? I'm thinking getting a new one; I think I need more megapixels or a more powerful macro lens.
