i like the way SEGS grades the Jefferson series. no pretense on my part that i know what a certain grade is, i just seem to agree with their assessment on the coins i've seen. i have many 1969-D's that are MS65, the trouble being none have much past 2-3 complete steps. if the auction coin is indeed 6-6-4-6 it's really no laughing matter.
that is rather odd that they put the notation on the insert.

A 1969D in MS65FS is easily a $5000+ coin. As Keets indicated a 6646 step count for a 69D is probably as good as it gets.
