As a naive square easterner my brother in San Francisco invited me to his place for two weeks to relax and celebrate my recent college graduation a couple of decades ago. First time I ever been west of the Mississippi. I feel in love with the free spirit of the city and really dove into the museums and history of old San Fran. After that trip I have a sort of centimental association towards that half dollar. After I entered the real working world one of first expensive (relative for me) slabbed coins was a white with perimeter toning MS63 one that I still have today. I would love to find a toned gem and would enjoy if anyone could post one.
