Here's a coin that certainly doesn't come up on eBay often (since it's a top pop unique).

1964 NGC PR69UCAM Accented Hair Kennedy.

PCGS has never graded one this high - or even a 69 cameo, for that matter. I know this coin used to be in R&I's inventory, but I don't know if it was on consignment or if they owned it. It was listed on Teletrade a while back, went to something like $15k and didn't sell. R&I just sold a 68UCAM for $5500.

I think eBay is a lousy venue to sell a coin like this, but it'll be interesting to see how high it gets bid.

  • Do they have a poor photo or is yours more frosted? or both?

I've added it to my watch list...
  • It would sell for much higher if it were in a pcgs holder

    Carl,

I think it's probably a combination of both. His image looks like it might have been done on a scanner. I'd guess it's more contrasted than that in person, but not quite as strong as mine.

Just called my mortgage company. Time to refinance; again. People must think I do drugs.

"hi, it's Joe again. Yes I know I just refinanced 6 months ago, but I need $20k and I need it fast. WHAT DO YOU MEAN I WON'T HAVE AN ANSWER UNTIL TOMORROW!"image

Lousy pic, and wrong venue, but I'll watch the coin with intense interest.image
