  • there's a thread buried here somewhere about it. a number of telemarketers, including new world, were shut down over allegations of violations of the martin act (probably misrepresentation of 'securities' in this case). probably a hefty fine in store for them.

additional RUMOR (which is why i've been pestering the forum about bunker hill): that the reason for raiding them was not "overcharging" tactics, but rather because the telemarketers were advertising coins for "investment", w/out the proper license & registration with the SEC to be in the investment biz.

Does anyone have a link to an online article regarding the bust of the 15 telemarketers? I would love to learn more about these scam artists. Thanks, Ed

FYI, one of our members just posted this on Eureka:

I just talked to Chris at New World Rarities, and he said that he and Brian anticipate that their situation will be cleared up
soon, and they plan to reopen Monday.

Be good if they clear it up...they are not taking phone calls nor is there web site running.... the sooner they clear it up the better off they will be....
