WTG, this coin is either unique or a counterfeit, since 1855 was a type 2 minted at all mints with the small Indian princess.

The reverse of the type 2 is also different from the one pictured, the leaves and blooms are much leafier

I buy a lot of raw gold but I stay away from the $1 gold like the plague! I would say over half the $1 gold coins I see are fake. mike

I sent a message to the seller letting him know that it couldn't possibly be real since they didn't strike that design in 1855. I got back these responses.
