ANACS Turnaround

Does anyone ever use ANACS for damaged/cleaned coins? Every week I call, their turnaround time increases by a week. They now say that turnaround is 7 weeks. I only sent them 1 coin.

What did you send them? Sacagaweas and Franklins?
I sent them a 16-d merc that was BB'd by PCGS. That is the only reason I used them. Don't think I will again.

I sent 2 Morgans, a 79-O and a 98-S...ANACS received them on March 21. I used ANACS economy because they just might come back AU-58 and just wasn't that important to me. I have used the 5 day service a couple times and it was very good service...worth the extra money, but not for the two I sent in this time.

PS...just talked to ANACS, they should go out sometime this week...

The five day service is really good, although the customer service people are a bunch of miserable sods....I have one lot that I sent for economy service I expect will take two months

I have heard horror stories about their economy turn around times, but they seem faster than PCGS. 7 weeks would be wonder service for PCGS. ANACS has quick service if you use one of the higher tiers.

ANACS economy is legendarily slow. You just got to know this going in. If you sent economy and didn't realize it would take so long, that's your own fault for not doing your homework.

I have an economy submission in right now. I sent it in around the beginning of April. If I get it back before the end of May, I'll be surprised. I'm expecting it to be more like June-July timeframe. It's not a service for the impatient.

I am glad you posted this thread. i will be sending out 10 coins to them tomorrow for their 5 day service. this is the first time i am sending coins out for grading and now i feel better after reading these posts.

I learned my lesson with ANACS economy a couple of years ago. Even back then, it was something like eight weeks. Their five day service, when you submit five or more coins, is excellent. Occasionally they run specials for five day at $12 each when you submit five or more coins.

I recieved an economy batch from NGC today, it took 25 business days.
