That I did not expect, my Lincoln SOLD

Linky
I'll be honest I did not expect that, I put the reserve equal to PCGS price guide and I figured it's too much anyway. But someone bought it. Can you believe that this coin came from a 20 years old piggy bank!!!! It just proves that PCGS registry is alive and kicking and that prices for top grade modern coins are strong /radiculus. Wll I have to say goodbye to the lincoln now.

I still have a ton of coins from that piggy bank. I think I'll take a second look; God knows how many more MS67/68 are there.

This is actually a fairly easy coin to make in MS67RD, but gets tougher in 68RD grade. I assume the high bidder simply wanted to pick it up before PCGS decides to split 1982 into the 7 different coins it deserves to be split into (and are recognized in the RED BOOK). Yes, the price was strong, but, again, if PCGS splits the 1982 Lincolns - who knows - the coin could be pop 1 (for a while anyway)!
Wondercoin
I think it was wild.I also see 1/2 of bidders were from this board. So you generated some interest.See you at Baltimore.
