I don't collect football, but after viewing a card as beautiful as that I may start. What a great picture that is.

That is one big ball. And one beautiful card. I wonder what prevented it from getting a 10.

    Ed,

How was the PSA 9 you recently won on EBAY? Did it still have the silver rub off attached to the back?

I passed on a PSA 9 last year that had the back fully intact (original). I hate to admit the seller's asking price seeing the recent PSA 9 realized prices. image

If anyone is interested, I will be listing a SGC 96/9 Mint '79 Topps James Lofton rookie on EBAY. PM or e-mail me if you would like scan(s). The current population report shows 11 PSA 9s and no PSA 10s out of 175 submissions. Ed outbid me to win his PSA 9 a while back.

  • Sixdart, The card is really nice. As far the back is concerned it is not scratched off. Please clarify what you mean by "the silver ruboff"? Do mean using a coin to rub of the back to see what picture is underneath?image

Yes - in regards to the "coin rub off" to display the cartoon trivia.

  • Sixdart, the card is very clean and not rubbed off on the back. Very satisfied with the card.image Thanks for the info.

  • Thanks for the heads up Ed. I'll be watching that card but I don't think I'll be able to bid competitivelyimage. I picked up a Staubach and Unitas RC last week for my QB set, bunch of Philly football and some PSA 10's for my 89 Score set. I might be done for May. I will make an exception though if you see the 85 Ellard and Fryarimage.
