It took a bit of vanity to accomplish what he did [in coins AND in business]. I wouldn't think he'd be quite so negative.

i don't think he'd waste much time worrying about it

I think he'd be happy to see his name on slabs, that way it would be easier to track down all his coins if he were to start up his collection againimageimageimage

Probably shake his head and say " Name tags!? Darn it! I already know it`s mine. "

    To quote airplainenut: "Cool!"
  • Yeah, I think he'd be happy.

They'd probably also think "cha-ching" because when they would sell another coin they would get even more because of the name.

He'd be elated knowing the preservation of the coins, not the man, will live on without being wasted away in the wrong environment!

  • I think he would wonder why his entire collection was sold at auction BEFORE any coins were certified! (except for the gold collection which if memory serves me correctly were sold prior to certification......October 1982 i think).

Without knowing his personality type, i can say almost surely that he would think it is about as cool as anything that has ever
    happened to him.

Think about it. We all want immortality. If your name on a slab and being known as the guy who got them all together, is as close as
you're going to come, or is in addition to actually being saved, well then that is certainly better than a poke in the eye with a sharp
stick, the standard equivalent of something that is less than desirable.

Not likely. He had so many coins that he probably couldn't recognize even individuals from just his collection of 1804 dollars.

I think he'd enjoy the fact that others appreciate and value what he accomplished.
