    i think the high bid at less than melt value reflects the bidding public's opinion of this "rainbow".

    rainbow has become a spam word in coins on ebay.

    I guess if one were to loosely define rainbow as having more than one color, the coin would qualify. After all, it does have both brown and dark brown.

    It's not just rainbow toning. It's "AWESOME" rainbow toning.

    How can it be "AWESOME" when it only has "brown and dark brown"?

    Agreed, even if this coin looks better in person I would not call it "Rainbow." On the other hand I think this coin is much lighter than the image reflects. Can't take all these internet images as an absolute.

    BTW, It has a nice print too!!!

    EBAY's toned Morgan section has become a cess pool. Everytime I look through it I have to go and take a shower. It stinks!image

    Some toned coins, when scanned, look like crap- i've scanned an awesome eagle and it is lusterless and the multicolored toning is brown- this could be the case here.

    May be the awesome rainbow toning is covered by that grey toing that seems to be all over the coin.
