If you became blind would you sell your collection?

Obviously coin collecting is a visual hobby so if you became blind would you sell your collection and why?

I would sell my collection and with the proceeds I would buy 1 REALLY nice high power coin and put it away for the kids.

Do you stay up all night trying to come up with these scenarios? If I go blind the last thing on my mind will be my coin collection.

Why sell them, you would probably have a better feel for them now! Dave

I'd crack them out of the holders & enjoy touching them!

No, seriously- I'd keep them to pass on to the kids when they're old enough. I've had that horrible thought cross my mind before, so don't think you're the only one that thinks like that!

I am blind!.... In one eye. And no I would pass the collection on to one of my children. I think that a better question would be, If you have three kids and one coin collection which one would get to Boston first and at what point would they pass. Assuming of course they were all going PR67 MPH.

I'd have them reholdered with Braile on the front.

  • We have sold coins to a blind coin collector, but he only collects proof sets (that I know of).
