Anyone ever see this amazing 1803 Large Cent in person?

This coin was auctioned off in a Goldberg sale a while ago, possibly as long as two years ago. It's one of the most amazing early large cents I've ever seen a picture of. Anyone ever see it in person? It grades PCGS MS67RB, by the way.

Edited to change the grade I said that this coin was. I originally said it was a 66, but it's actually a 67.

Dude, you have got to quit posting so much.image That is an absolutely gorgeous large cent. My favorite type of the entire series too. I wish I could say that I have seen it but, alas, I have not. Do you think it should probably be a Specimen piece, instead of a MS graded coin? Either way, I would love to own it for a while. mdwoods

You should ask Poseidon to show you a photo of his draped bust cent in pcgs ms 66.

Poseidon, I think I saw that coin back in 1993. It is part of the Ted Naftzger Collection of early date large cents. This collection was sold in 1992 to Eric Streiner, and shortly thereafter, Jay Parrino got to pick the cream of the collection. Parrino had many of these early dates from 1794 to 1814 at the EAC Convention in Fort Worth in 1993. There was actually an 1802 in PCGS 67RB, S-234, that was nicer than the pictured 1803!! There was also the Mickley Chain cent, S-1 in Specimen 65BR, the Atwater Wreath cent in PCGS 68 RD, and a full red gem 1807/6 large overdate. It really was something to see all of these coins at one table, as the Natfzger Collection was by far the finest collection of early date large cents ever assembled. In quality and completeness, it dwarfed Eliasberg, Norweb, Garrett and anyone else.

I didn't see this 67 RB but saw a very striking NGC MS 66 RD 1803 at a show last fall that was jaw dropping. It looked like a medal and the coin had no contact marks and amazing cartwheel luster. Price was only $24,000 as I recall.

Man, I wish I could have seen the set. Large cents were my first love when I started collecting again as an adult. I only have a few
    worn pieces left now.
