I'm not seriously bidding on the coin...I just put in one bid to tweak WC. I'm not mad at WC...I'm just tweaking him 'cuz that's my nature. If my bid didn't hit reserve the reserve is truly too high...

Not only do auctions really not belong here, but if you are not trying to sell this, what is the purpose? No wonder I won't even bother to look at lots from anyone who sells on this forum. There isn't anything that I need enough to deal with people who have no morals.

Hmmm...the snipe by Roger is in time but not enough. Every day I'm more surprised by Lincoln prices but then I go and pay even more stupid money for my own.

Since I do mostly selling on ebay, I am just curious - what is the purpose of bidding $599.99? If you really want the item, wouldn't you want to bid $600.01 to ensure you don't lose by 2 cents??

Does that one time I linked my auction because I was messing with mnmcoin count for you? If it does that is too bad I'll just have to not offer you a great price on the 1884 nickel PCGS MS66 PQ that I've got. Killer coin really...PM me if interested.

I thought the same thing about that bid...$603.13 would be my kinda bid if I was willing to pay $600 and wanted to win.

Unless I am mistaken, yours was an action based on an idiots "true auction" showing just how wrong he was. I have no problem with that. I would love to buy a MS66 1884, but it is not in the budget. Hope that does not mean I am not worthy of responding to you as it is with others on this thread.

Sorry, I've got so many new coins to image and shuffle around that it fell between the cracks (brain is fried after the weekend that I've had). We can certainly discuss this coin next time we talk.
dbldie55,
I'm sorry...my comment was chippy and inappropriate. I am very tired tonight but I'm not using that as an excuse; rude behavior is never acceptable and I apologize. The coin is well out of my budget range also; I'm just glad to have it in hand even if only on memo. I also have access to a PQ+ 1899 PCGS MS66 that would be a great coin for anyone to own but do not have it in hand at the moment...
