Dealers saying it's absurd to think you can buy at sheet.
What the heck good is the Gray Sheet if it isn't at least an INDICATOR of price?
INSANE money being spent for ....color.......that used to be dipped off.
INSANE money going after modern coins that are MINISCULE shades above any old proof set.
Bullion coins being put into plastic.
More fretting about the name on the plastic than the coin itself.
SOMETHING is getting nutsy.
This doesn't look GOOD to me.

But then, I am late for my turnip truck, too.

Like all markets the coin market is cyclical. It goes in cycles. I have heard from other dealers the same thoughts. Still others I heard just the opposite. The answer is there is no answer, only educated guesses.

I would enjoy the ride, this is the real thing.

i dont think so as far as nice collector coins are concerned.people love to collect. it gives them a break from the everyday rat race, and something they can enjoy with thier family........the people who are in it for a fast buck, or the people who spend 10 or 15 thousand dollars for coins that were made within the last few years will be in for a shock...............thru good times, and bad, people have always enjoyed the fun of collecting coins..........

Its hard to look at th market as a whole. I think its better to look at individual series... Bust Dollars and Morgans are still doing well because of interest. I still think original Seated Dollars are under valued but that may be due to the level of interest.

Classic coinage is doing fine and will mostlikey continue to do well. Watch out for the trendy coins that are hot now. It is best to but what is out of favor... Good luck.

I also feel the market goes in cycles. However, I don't feel the market is going to take a turn for the worse anytime in the near future. I HOPE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
