Registry pictures question

I don't keep up with the latest Registry news so if this is a dumb question please overlook my dumbness........image
Are there any plans to allow 2 pictures like for an obv & rev pict instead of the current 1 that you have to edit 2 pictures together if you want to show both sides of the coin?
Change that we can believe in is that change which is 90% silver.

    DUMB QUESTION DOG !!

Actually a couple of threads have brought up this subject. No answer yet that I know of. What do you think, two or one like it is now ? Maybe a answer from a Heavy Weight like you will get some action on this. image

What do I think? Thanks for asking, Fairlaneman.
I only have an obv pict in my sets because I really DREAD the thought of merging about 150 pictures together to make my combo pictures.
I DREAD it like a beating.
I DREAD it so much I probably won't do it.
For a FIRST CLASS Registry PCGS has a SECOND CLASS picture option. Are the grades are more important than what the coin looks like? image
I would much like & enjoy 2 pictures for each coin.

Another option would be to use photo editing software to combine both the obv picture and the reverse picture into one picture where the images are side-by-side.........effectively does the same thing.

But having said that, I'm with you - I dread having to do that also and haven't.

This is one place where the NGC Registry's photo capabiities are better.....image size limit is 100k not 50K like PCGS, and its ok to have non-alphanumerics in the file titles (like 49P_PCGS_MS67) which PCGS won't accept..........and of couse, the two independent photo's - which is why I have both obv and rev pics on that site.

Heck it only took me about 8 hours to do all of the merging. Have up-graded some of my NGC pictures but have not done so with the PCGS ones because its a HUGE PAIN. Yep the Number is what counts. image

I would like to see 2, merging is a pain in the (_!_) Also a larger file size would be nice.

I have reverse images for all my coins. I would gladly put them up, but I'm with Dog - no way am I going to do all that dreary picture merging!

I've posted obverse and reverse pics of most of my coins, but it's extremely time-consuming and downright tedious, and I tend to lose my enthusiasm for the task after a couple of hours.

ARE YOU LISTENING, PCGS???? Tell DH that we might spend more time looking at coins on his website if we didn't spend so much time taking pictures, then cropping, merging, and posting them. I thought he said something at the FUN show about promoting the posting of pictures for Registry sets. We haven't seen anything yet.
