Why true monster toned coins are here to stay...

I wouldn't trade a monster toned Morgan for 20 blast white Morgans of the same date/grade. I'm not talking about the junky AT stuff you see on EBAY most of the time. I'm talking about the Godzilla/King Kong Monsters!
I can stare for hours at an incredibly toned Morgan, but plain white Morgans can be a little boring unless they have tremendous eye appeal.
Morgans with exceptional toning are worth a very large premium and I don't see it changing as long as people continue to hunt for the best material, and lock them away long-term in their collections.
Also, when hunting for Monster toned Morgans I don't care too much about the date or mint mark. A common date/common condition monster has a lot more eye appeal that a rare date/rare mint mark average coin.

charged for them continue to expand and contract according to collector whim. There is no doubt
that such coins are desirable and valuable, the question is how valuable. To reduce economic risk
at current high prices, it may be wise to stay with high grade gem or better coins, no question beautiful
color and a high quality graded slab from a reputable dealer. While there are few guarantees of instant
wealth in this crazy world of" tulip buyers" you can increase you odds of reasonable success by following
the above criteria. Remember, toning is not just any coin with tarnish on it. Be aware of baked cookies
and toned coins thru the miracle of chemistry, that are floating around.
