My First Proof Mercury Dime - Arrived Today!

I had bid a while ago on the weekly Heritage auction for this coin. I had far more bids in on the bUllet auction, and was watching them more carefully. After getting outbid on all those, I forgot I still had bids in the weekly auction. This AM an e-mail popped up with winner notification and I had to read it to see what I was getting. It's PCGS PR65, and cost $299 including the juice.

Nice, I saw that one last night on Heritage. I see it has full bands on it too. Some 1942 proofs have flat bands. I like the proofs but they have become too expensive for me so I had to stop buying.

I love these coins..especially the nicely toned ones..it caan be hard to find nice original coins without haze in the fields..

THe coin arrived today. Much nicer in person than in the scan. In the scan it looks more like a MS coin from the surfaces, but they are fully mirror like in person, and it does not have what looks like a touch of haze in the scan.
