Just got done viewing the lots in Milehighcardco's auction. Look at where this Berra PSA 10 is at. I don't know much about the set, but has this card topped out yet or is it just beginning?

Anyone else bidding on some of the items here?

Just a guess but this one will probably go higher because it is a 1 of 1 PSA 10 ... and with over a week left I have to believe there are some more bidders lurking out there......

Any high grade OPC Jim Palmer
High grade Redskins (pre 1980)
There are definitely two or three players that I would see interested in the card -- all of whom have pockets deep enough to afford the GEM MINT Hall of Fame rookie:
Player A) Owner of one of the finest 1948 Bowman sets. The key card in PSA 10 would obviously be a cool upgrade -- plus, a PSA 9 of the vard (which the owner presumably has) is also worth thousands -- so it might make the PSA 10 cost less in the owner's mind
Player Owner of the finest collection of Baseball Hall of Fame Rookie graded PSA 10 GEM MINT baseball cards.
Player C) I'll just refer to as the "X" factor -- as the collector has a huge collection across the board, including some very key cards in PSA 8, 9 and 10 grade.
Unfortunately -- usually when you have cards like this, the final price paid could be determined by a whim, or by the direction of the wind that day. That Berra is a New York Yankee on the first major post-war set makes this card all the more special. Especially since Berra was in so many World Series, etc. and has been very visible after his retirement as a player.
nice to see some talk about the great cards he is offering.
