What coin, priced below $1000, would you most like to own?

And I would appreciate it if you told me why you would like to own that particular coin.

A nice clean problem free 1872 Two Cent Piece in PCGS MS62RB. Might not be able to land it at the $1K or below range, though.

1932 Indian in 64. Classic design and the cheapest date in the series in that grade.

An original VF30 or XF40 1898-O Barber Half. I would like to find one because they don't exist! Cleaned and problematic they are around. Original...big problem!

Coins like this don't count 1898-O VF30. Coins like this do! Original VF35 Barber

I dare anyone to find one. Even the great Anaconda! As punishment for my insolence and arrogance I would be punished by being forced to buy it from you!

David Lawrence considered it the most underated date of the series.

I'll take all the nicely toned Proof 64 cameo seated coins I can afford, which right now is none. Anyone got $1,000 they want to spare? image

A pcgs/ngc proof 62/63 barber half with beautiful luster and toning. I love the look of these even in 62/63 to keep below one grand. The low mintage and beauty will keep its value appreciating over time.

I'll take an ultra black and white, PQ++++ for the grade PCGS 1880-S in 66DMPL, with monster frost and deeeeeeeeeeeeeply mirrored fields. A truly hard coin to find....and most won't sell it to you for under $1,000 anyways....but there is a chance since it sheets around $800.

Why this one? Because a truly killer contrast DMPL Morgan blows away any non-toned Morgan out there, regardless of grade. IMHO.

I would take a Proof-65 Buffalo. The "Guide Book" has it at $900.
