sorry, those hits are way to distracting for a 5, not one of my 5's has hits such as these.

Well that may be because you've picked out some nice coins, however, there is a range of liniency in MS65 - Remember 65 is right between 60 and 70 - some imperfections are allowed

I figure it's right in that grey area between a 64-65. Right now it's in an ANACS MS65FBL holder.

I believe we have some latitude

i sold Marty a 48d that I have encouraged him to try and upgrade, it is nicer then the example at the beggining of this thread and its only a ms64fbl.

Here is a 48 I sent in, bought it cheap... I'm hoping to sneak a 5 on this one, I'm hoping the distractions on the reverse under the Eagle don't drop it into a 4.

I think Marty's coin is a 65FBL.

I think Lucy's 48-D is lock 65fbl. Maybe even a shot at 66 but can't tell from a scan.

I hate trying to grade from images, but for the halibut, I'd say that Marty's could very well go 65, and lucy's 66 from the images.

I have to agree with Lucy. Actually I think she's being a bit too generous. I say MS-63FBL MAX. I'd pass on it myself and the others posted as 64's which are not even close in my book. More like 62's and 63's. I'm strick, shoot me.....

I agree with Neil. Marty's coin is a 65, Lucys is probably a 66. That's if both have pretty good luster.

Absolutely Frank! The only potential grade limiting mark on that coin is the one on Ben's eyebrow. All the others are well within 65 limits. The coin will make MS-65 FBL.

Lucy- I don't know why you would say you are hoping to "slip" a 65 on that coin of yours. It looks quite solid for MS-65 with a good shot at 66.
