Features I'd like to see on the registry

Most of these have been discussed before, but here are a few things I would like to see added to the registry, in the order I would like them .
1) Pop / Pop Higher columns like the have on the coin registry. I think those two numbers are the most telling as to the difficulty of a set. Maybe PSA fears it would cut down on pop report sales? Maybe PSA could make the numbers viewable only to those with pop report subscriptions?
2) An optional landing page. Instead of the "registrants other sets" link, each one of your sets could link to a home page, of sorts. It would have a complete list of your sets, and you could add some text about your collecting goals, history, or whatever. You could also post want lists. It would be cool to see some stats too, like:
Sets Registered: 25
Sets Complete: 2
Sets Leading: 3
Sets in Top 5: 12
Total cards registered: 546
Awards: 2003 All-Time NFL Rushers, 2003 Marcus Allen Basic
Last 5 cards added: 1981 Topps Joe Montana PSA 8OC, ....
3) An optional "populate all relevant sets" option. If a particular card can go into more than one set (1952 Topps, Mickey Mantle basic set, HOF RC set, etc.), you would have an option to add that card too all relevant sets when you add it to one.
4) Individual editing of comments. Currently, if I add something to the comment field of a card in one set, it automatically transfers to all other sets where that card is registered. Sometimes the comment is out of context in the other set.
5) Ability to add comments to cards you don't have. I'd like to say "looking for a well centered 8" or something like that. Or, "part of my raw set," or "have in SGC 92." Maybe PSA wouldn't like this, but I would at least like the option.
6) Ability to delete more than one card at a time. This is a time saver for people selling cards, which would ameliorate the "card already registered" problem.
7) Link on cert verification to sets. This would be nice for two reasons: You wouldn't have to search all of the "key card" sets to see if your new card is included, and it would be added exposure to people using the cert verification who might not know about the registry.
8) An official FAQ about weighting sets, what goes into a basic player sets, etc. Basically all of the Frequently Asked Questions on this board .
There are so many great aspects of the registry, and it is extremely well run. I think these features would just enhance our enjoyment of an already enjoyable service.

All are great ideas. I like the one about the pop report on the column next to your card grade. I also think they should encourage more people to add descriptions to thier cards. I take the time to add descriptions about the cards and players in my set and I'd like to see more of that. I'm not sure that PSA can do anything other than encourage it, but maybe a year end award for the most creative.

Some thing I would like to see:
1) Any card registered in a master set will automatically be registered in the basic set too.
2) Have a way to view the number of registered cards in each set of each card, in each grade. So you can compare the number registered to the number in the population report.
3) On the new and updated sets page, also list the average grade, completion % , and set rating for each set. I like to look at all the new and updated sets, but it takes long to click on every single set to see how complete it is.
4) A link on the top of each registered set's page to link back to the standings for the set like on the coin registry.
5) Incentives to add scans to sets.
6) More Stats! To the list of # of sets registered in each set, add # 50%, 75%, 90%, and 100% complete.
7) I don't know if this is possible, but if there is a way for sets that have variations, to have the sets be complete without the variations, but to allow people to register all variations?
PSA, please take note of this thread, I think all of these suggestions would greatly add to the registry.
Like you said, this has been discussed before. But, as far as I know, none of the ideas mentioned in previous threads have ever been implemented. I think you added a few great new ideas though.
#3 - Populate all Relevant Sets - As I have registered many new sets recently, mainly player sets, HOF sets, and Key Card sets, it would be nice to have this option available. I post scans for all of my registered cards (front and back) and it would also be nice to not have to upload the scans for each individual set as well. I'd like to see both of these upgrades available on one web page (something like you mentioned in #2). It would save a lot of time.
#6 - Ability to delete more than one card at a time - This is a major pain in the a**. There are times when I get 10+ upgrades for one of my 500, 600, or 700+ card sets in the same day. I have to manually go through cards 1-200 and delete 1 or 2 cards (one at a time), then go through cards 201-400 and delete another 1 or 2 cards ... You get the idea. It is really time consuming just to upgrade some PSA 8's to PSA 9's.
I've noticed the effects of #4 - Individual editing of comments. Although I don't use this feature, I do enjoy reading some of the comments by others. I believe I even posted here before about a comment from one of your sets that made no sense at all since it was taken out of context by being originally posted in another set.
Two requests that I'd like to see implemented are:
#1 - When you click on links to individual sets, whether you're viewing someone else's set or editing your own, the set is not identified. I'd like to see some title on the top of each page to identify the set. For instance, when I update my 1969 Topps Baseball sets (basic and master), there is no way to identify which is which other than to scroll through the cards until I see one of the variation cards (or lack of one).
#2 - When you link to someone's individual set (specifically through a post here on the message board or through email), there is no way to get to the All Time/Current Finest list from their set. If the individual does not identify what specific set it is, there is no way to view the list other than trial and error (see my #1 request - no set title).
This is a great topic to discuss. Hopefully, someone at PSA is gobbling up this information and planning a course of action.
Thanks.

Alfiewt,
I love this idea. I have a scan of every card I have registered (front and back) - How about one free grading for every 10 cards scanned and uploaded to a registered set? I'd never have to wait for a grading special again.

More than likely, they're adding you to their list of trouble making malcontents!!!

Always looking for 1972 O-PEE-CHEE Baseball in PSA 9 or 10!

SHHHHHHH!
They don't know about any of that yet! I want my free gradings first.

Great ideas! I also forgot another thing I'd like to see: The number of sets registered on the list page. Something like this:
1961 Golden Press (8)
1961 Morrell Meats (1)
1961 Nu-Card Scoops (6)
1961 Topps (59)
1961 Topps Stamp Panels (1)
1961-62 Fleer (11)
1962 Dodgers Bell Brand (3)
1962 Topps (36)
1963 Bazooka ATG (2)
1963 Fleer (28)
1963 Topps (45)
1964 Topps (38)
Does someone want to alert the powers that be about this thread?

1) Enter new card
2) List of sets containing that card pops up
3) Check off the sets to which you want to add the card
4) Confirm
This would eliminate the passive population of numerous irrelevant sets just because they happened to include the newly-added card. Maybe it would even entice people to start sets they never even knew existed
Robert
This really wouldn't be a problem if it only applies to sets you currently have registered. For example, if I register a 1960 Topps Carl Yastrzemski into my 1960 Topps set, it will only go into that set if that's the only set containing this card that I have registered. If, prior to my registering this card into my 1960 set, I had also registered a Carl Yastrzemski Basic Player Set, a Carl Yastrzemski Master Player Set, a HOF Rookie card set, and a 300 Greatest Cards of All Time set, then the card would be regisetered in all 5 sets, thus saving me the trouble of doing it manually.
This shouldn't be too hard for PSA to do and it will eliminate the chance that major set collectors won't turn off small subset collectors by populating every possible set with their abundance of high grade cards.
