High price for a toned Kennedy

I know there is a premium put on toned coins but I think that this is a bit high ( IMOP ). This is a coin that can be had for under 40 or less. Toned Kennedy. So my question is - is this guy fishing or is this the price of toning on a Kennedys.

  • hmmm ~ CU list is $50 for the coin in MS66, $450 bucks worth the toning...depends on the buyer I guess

The colors look NT but the pattern is a little odd...

Some people will and do pay a premium for nice original toning.
For me I do not think it worth it, but thats only my opinion.

It's about a $200 to $250 coin with that toning. I'm hoping JB isn't buried in the piece.

The coin is a nice one and I believe the color is there for the right person. I do have a buyer already for the coin, just waiting on a trade he wants to do.

The reds on the reverse are much nicer in person.

  • JB I'm not putting your coin down believe me . I was just surprised at the price of toning on a Kennedy. I have never seen a clad Kennedy tone like that before. Good luck on the sale of it.
