Crossovers

Does anyone know of crossovers are tracked? That is, if a NGC slabbed coin is submitted to PCGS and the PCGS grade is equal to or higher than the NGC grade, then the owner decides to have PCGS reslab the coin, is the population deducted from NGC and added to PCGS? If not, isn't there an overstatement of the overall population of certified coins? Comments please!image

If your coin crosses to PCGS then PCGS will send the NGC insert back to you with the coin. It is then your
responsibility to return the insert to NGC to be removed from the pop report. That is of course if you want
    it removed.
  • yes and to keep pop reports clean, send all crossover info to other grading company. police thy selves, because they won't.

  • Thanks. I have 5 NGC coins at PCGS now for grading and will make sure to notify NGC if any crossovers occur.
