Hi Folks

I am looking for a 1972 Cypriot coin

It does not have to be of great value

I and my Girlfriend are getting married in september and we would like the coin for a good luck symbol

    Welcome to the boards. I'll take a look, as I have quite a few Greek coins so I am bound to have some from Cyprus. If I can assume a little, you probably want a coin dated before Cyprus was divided, and now, about 30 years later that they have re-opened the borders, you are looking for a good wish (marriage and re-unification).

    Not sure if I am off-base or not, but I like the idea.

    If I don't find one in my collection, I'll personally find you one with one of the two coin dealers I usually deal with.

    Candiadates for that year include the 1, 5, 25 or 50 mils coins.

    While the coins mentioned above only catalog at $1 or less they are not easy to find because of low demand and small mintage numbers. There aren't any on Ebay right now.

    Give me until this weekend. If you don't care about the denomination and grade, I am sure I can probably find one for $1 or $2. Not sure of the shipping to England, but let's just say that with $2 to $3 total, you can consider it an early wedding gift.
