Set Registry Question?

GRANDAMGRANDAM Posts: 8,379 ✭✭✭✭✭
Hello David,

I have a question. If a coin has a weighted point value of "8" What must it grade out at to receive the "8" points? Example a coin in:

MS62 = how many points out of "8"
MS63 =
MS64 =
MS65 =

I have read the rules but can't seem to quite figure it out?

Thanks for your help,

The weighting means that's how much the coin counts relative to other coins. So for example, if your set has a MS 62 with a weight of 1, then that counts as having one MS 62 in your set. If the set has a MS62 with a weight of 8, then that counts as 8 MS62s. In other words the number of coins in a set for Registry scoring purposes is actually the number arrived at by adding all of the weights in a set together.
