...beautiful toned Morgans in person tonight. The pictures he has posted of them are excellent, but they don't compare to seeing the actual coins up close. image

And it was a pleasure meeting Danky and her husband - and sharing coin stories! - Part of the fun of being on here! image

Aaagh! What are you two doing? I'll let you see mine, if you let me see yours???? image

I'm just glad he spends the majority of his time collecting business strike Franklins, rather than the much more attractive and stunning DCAM variety. image

It is that GHansen that provides the real competition. And that Wingsrule has a collection that is beyond what I can do without a Lotto winning. image

Funny how winning the Lotto pops up in so many of our coin conversations huh? image

I'm not waiting to win the Lotto...I'm waiting for Publishers Clearing House to knock at my door. image

So, was it the dinner out and how 'bout those Morgans?? image

No, seriously, do the two of you live in the same town or was this a pre-arranged meeting? Tassa seems to spend a lot of time at Numisaddict and I enjoy her posts there when I lurk. Did she bring some coins to this meeting/dinner?

    Well, thank you DCAM.

To answer your question-we do live in the same area. Tonight was the first time we actually met face to face, though.

OK Tassa, what goodies (coins) did you bring to this dinner meeting? Were you sharing Morgans? Please tell me no DCAM Franklins were being passed back and forth!

No DCAM Frankies - just a DMPL Morgan and a beautiful 1917FH SLQ - the lady has good taste! image

I would've shown Danky my blue Frankie that I got this week, but as luck would have it - the post office at the mall stays open till 9:00 - so that puppy is headed to PCGS hopefully to get acquainted with a nice big number! image

No DCAM Franklins in sight, and I left my Morgans at home. I just brought my latest purchase- an AU58 FH 1917 type 1 SLQ.
Also, it wasn't a dinner meeting. No food was consumed.
