Coins that you've never had in Mint State or Proof condition!

What are the most common U.S. coins or coin types that you've never owned in Mint State or Proof condition? And I would appreciate it if you would tell me why you have never acquired those particular coins in MS or Proof.

I have every type of coin made by the US from the time of the buff forward (1938-now) plus two MS Morgans. I don't have any others because I just can't afford them... and the proofs before moderns? No way- my oldest proof is from 1956.

Shield nickels! I love them to pieces, but just can't afford them in MS or PR! I've been keeping my eye out for the next best thing, though, AU58s!

biggest mistake i ever made was not getting the bust dollar i found at centeral states in 2000 and now its worth almost twice as much as it was then, i've also never owned a mint state or proof bust quarter or dime, a three cent silver, a three cent nickle, or a 20 cent piece. Les

I have never owned a Roosevelt dime in Mintstate, there is just no key-date with any value in this set. And its too modern for me?

I have never owned a Franklin Half dollar in Mintstate, (in my personal key-date collection) that is. (Yes Lucybob, its true)

Lets see what I don't have in MS/Proof:

    Indian cent
    Buffalo nickel
    Barber dime and quarter
    Peace dollar

I probably have an Unc. wheat cent and I might have an Unc. Frankie,
but I haven't checked those coins with a magnifying glass yet.

Common ones never had in mint state or proof? That's easy! I'll assume 20th century only

    Indian Head Cents
    Liberty Nickels
    Standing Liberty Quarters
    Barber Halves
    Gold $2.5-$10
    Liberty Gold $20

For the 19th century, the only type I do have in MS are Morgan Dollars.
