Ever Nic-a-date a Liberty Nickel?

only I could see the date, what I did was, using some mild acid solution at work, I worked on the reverse of a 1912 Liberty nickel. 
I was trying to see if there was a mint mark, namely an 'S'. Held at an angle and looking under my loupe, I can detect the MM, and try as I can to see something else, it really seems to be an 'S'. The location is right, so I may use a bit stronger solution and see if I can clarify it. We are talking a WELL worn nickel, and though it may really be a San Francisco mint Liberty, I know it's value is nothing, but still, it's a neat way to fill my circs-only album!!

I'd love to see pics of it, just to see how it comes out. Not all of us think that acid coins are crap. I get a kick out of taking nic-a-date to a slick buffalo and seeing what the date is.
