Dinner in St. Louis with MS68 and Wondercoin.

Not only did I have a wonderful dinner, thanks Dave and Mitch, but I got to talk to 2 guys who are at the top of there game.
I thoroughly enjoyed myself, although I wonder if I asked too many questions. I couldn't help myself.
It's not everyday you get to have dinner with such walking encyclopedias.
It was my first time meeting MS68. He is a fount of knowledge and good advice. I liked him immediately. Down to earth and very unpretentious. I hope to get a chance to visit with him again. Mitch was exuberant, as usual, and I learn something new everytime I talk to him. His enthusiasm for coins is very admirable in my eyes. Though both of these guys are younger than yours truly, I felt like a kid when we talked about coins. Man I just love those little metal disks.
I stopped back and saw Andy Skrabalak before the bourse closed for the evening. Andy also uses mind control as I ended up buying another gorgeous nickel from him. I picked up an 1879/8 Shield nickel in PCGS PR66 Cameo. Pictures will be forthcoming.
Mitch is also going to show me some more Frankies (haha Lucy), so I might have some more pictures real soon to post. Take care everyone. mdwoods

A Mitch special
MS68 sounds like a great guy too.
Friendships with people like them should be cherrished as they're rare in the coin business/hobby.

Ron, it is a great time. I was stressed out after so many delays at the airports yesterday, but today makes it all worthwhile. Mark

marble in NY and a few years ago, I was chasing "deadbeat debtors" in bankrupty cases. This is a great hobby.
Now, here is the most important thing I learned tonight at the dinner with Mark (besides the fact that he wants to tantilize Lucy with his monster(s)) - Mark's 50th birthday is right around the Baltimore ANA show. Now, this should be the "bash" we should plan on the boards for everyone to get together and party with Mark for his 50th in Baltimore!! As we get closer to the ANA show, we can coordinate a special party for Mark's 50th!! THIS WILL BE BIG!!
Again, what a great evening with a couple of special guys.

I will make every attempt to arrive in Baltimore by either Saturday or Friday as I stupidly planned my vacation (two years ago) for the last week of July and 1st day in August in New Hampshire with the hidden agenda of visiting Bowers & Merena for at least a day as I thought the ANA show was a week later.
Now with those plans in chaos, I will have to pick up the pieces.
To travel from the White Mountains of New Hampshire to Baltimore in half a day is a tall order unless I use my private plane and I hate to fly during my vacation!
