I'll be there all three days...stop by and say hi to me at Angel Dee's table. Plus any Lincoln enthusiasts are invited to dinner after the show Friday (location TBD by me soon but will be close to Will Rogers) with a number of locals/message board members/dealers.

    TNA!

I'll have to get back to one of those someday.

I fondly remember sharing a table at the (1983 TNA) in Corpus? Sold most of my real nice coins to another dealer
while setting up......then I started buying. But, the most fun was winning about $500 in the nightly poker games.

Hey Askari, I wish my hair was still only thinning.....the combine has cleared the field!!

I've never been to Texas. Maybe I can make it next year. I have already used most of my vacation time this year.image

I may just have to drive out for that, or maybe see if I can get a cheap flight.

  • What time does the bourse open on Friday? I hope early. I will be there Friday during the morning[?] or early afternoon and again on Saturday during the day. Perhaps we can have lunch Saturday like we did last year. That would be fun.

Src, please be sure to get Dpoole soused Friday late! He tells me that's the only way he'll be able to stay over until Saturday. imageimage

If I do, it will be Rella's legal responsibility. Then I'll hang around Saturday to pick up all his wheaties as part of our out-of-court settlement.

If Anaconda's there, I'll engage his services to get Rella's house, kids and perpetual endentured servitude, too.

Got you beat on my wheaties...haven't you noticed that I don't have a registry set right now? image

    Mark,

If you can stand all of us Lincoln guys you should go out with us Friday night and you can make sure dpoole gets soused yourself and not have to depend on others to get the job done.

I'd love to Rella ... unfortunately, I will be on a business trip to Washington most of this week and will only get home late Friday night ... unless my secretary can find a better return flight Monday. There appears to be a big convention going on (or is it the Cherry Blossom Festival) -- I still didn't have a hotel room by COB yesterday. I always dislike these last-minute trips ... although the meetings should be very interesting.

I'll be there as well. Going to be there for dealer setup through Saturday mid-day.

Hmmm.... I've got some Lincolns pressed into an old Whitman holder, does that make me qualified for dinner? image

If it doesn't, I've got a few slabbed Lincolns I can loan out.

OR you could pick up one the nice 1954 PCGS MS66RDs that I have right now. image Check the set registry forum tomorrow for more details on dinner.

    Keith,

What are the show hours???...my wife just asked when I would be gone and I guess "all weekend" isn't the right answer.image

No idea on show hours yet. Haven't got a flyer yet, and nothing on the TNA's website to indicate the hours. Maybe one of the dealer types knows?

Got an email this morning from Michael Grant of the TNA committee - the hours for the Bourse will be:

    1PM - 7PM on Friday
    9AM - 7PM on Saturday
    9AM - 3PM on Sunday

I plan to be there on Friday and Saturday.

Oh - all you non-single types - don't forget that Sunday is Mother's day - get your wife/GF/etc that true blazer in MS66 (so when she says that she hates coins, you can ask - Well, can I keep it?????) imageimageimageimage

Just a note of clarification: Jason has a couple of cases at our table with some sub rate toned coins, GREAT white coins and AWSOME currency……If he is good and does not compete to much he might get a 3rd case. imageimageimageimage

Please stop at the table and introduce yourself as I have meet a bunch of the Texas group but not all.

    More clarification:

I will be the one with a nice personality at the table, Brian on the other hand hates to deal with the public and is rude. No use is talking to him about toned coins as he does not have time.

If Brian is nice I will let him speak to the public.

    Even more clarification:

Jason's the only one with hair. image

Hey--what is this??? A thread full of nothing but nice comments??!! Someone should threaten to bring a camera to the show and take pictures of all of you!

More seriously, I sure hope a few of you post your opinions of the show. Reading about shows is one of the highlights of the board for me!

Compared to some other coin related venues (lot viewing for a Heritage Gallery Sale is one that comes to mind) the TNA is going to seem like a fashion runway in comparison.

Is there any truth to the rumors that Jason has hair extensions? image
